They're simple, predictable and repetitive, but strangely enjoyable. Kind of like a simple jigsaw puzzle - seeing where everything needs to go and putting things where they belong scratches some kind of OCD-like itch. Each game in the series manages to stretch out a little more playtime. #1 was ~4hrs, #2 ~8hrs, and #3 ~12hrs to get all the acheivments (it took a while to reach 100 lockpick and find the hidden treasure). This one had a lot more grinding than the previous ones, which gets tedious, but I was still sorry to see it end so soon. As always, not recommended to serious gamers, very much a childrens game, but charming in it's own way.. It's an interesting RPG with simple game mechanics. No replay value.. Oh boy, I was in love with Hero of the Kingdom I-II, but this one is an annoying, grindy, piece of hell.You need to craft and harvest more than thousand items to be able to fight and progress further and gets you flustrated pretty soon.Without this new mechanic, the game would be awesome.. The first two games were definitely better and less grindy than the third one in the series...but nevertheless I couldnt stop playing this one either and had to get that sexy 100% achievements ;) Story was great in this game too, loved every second of it..good job devs cant wait for number 4 (hopefully). Love this series of games. Not quite sure why, but something satisfying about roaming around and collecting items to progress. That said this one didn't feel quite as fun as the last 2 in the series? Maybe it's too much of the same?Also, the last achievement to get 100% for lock-picking took ages to find any treasure chests!Still a fantastic game and well worth a play :). Just finished this. YES. There is a lot of grinding but I like the game anyway. It is like a Zen thing. I found it relaxing. I would give it four stars out of five stars if that were possible.. Awesome game I buy it in that minute when there release it! Veru good game with perfect story.Super. A huge disappointment after the first two games. It took a relaxing, casual experience which constantly gave a small feeling of progression (Aha, now I've got that item I can do that quest from earlier!) and turned it into a tedious grind with repetitive animations, next to no resource management and no real sense of accomplishment. Instead I was quite glad when it was over and didn't have to make any more potions! I'd still recommend HOTK 1 & 2 but 3 is definitely one to miss.. Very good game. I'm really looking forward to playing the next one. Hope that the next one could have Chinese translation.. I truely love these game. This entry into the hero of the kingdom series has a bit more meat to it. There was some grinding involved for getting some of the achievments but considering I had to grind past some of them to be properly equiped (Cough) health potions (Cough). Honestly the best entry in the series. I really cant recommend it enough.
